Man, Barnaby has come such a long way in a few short weeks. He turned up at Hillsborough Animal Services severely emaciated and covered in urine stains, as if he had been locked in a crate with no food, water, or companionship.
Despite being close to starvation, this skeletal little dog just wanted to be close to people. His will to live and love is truly inspiring to everyone around him.
His foster mom Pat put in a lot of work to help Barnaby regain his weight carefully to avoid any complications. Also, he had to have surgery to repair a cherry eye.
Now, he is ready for his forever home! He is good with both children and cats. He would love to have some doggie siblings, as he likes their company. His foster home has other dogs, all Yorkies, and he gets along with them.
BLOGGER'S NOTE: I got the opportunity to meet Barnaby at Pet-a-Palooza in Clearwater. He is a (c)hunk! It is amazing how much he has bounced back from the horrible neglect and abuse he went through, you wouldn't even know its the same dog!
Barnaby was lucky enough to get a photo shoot with Lisa of Little Pet Project. Isn't he handsome?!?
