"Spirit"

Spirit when she first entered RRInc
Spirit was so named because of her unbreakable "spirit" when she came into RRinc. She was turned into Animal Services with her litter of young puppies. A shelter couldn't be a more stressful place for a mother dog with a litter, but despite all of the chaos, she was perfectly happy to have people handle her babies. There was no way such a dedicated and amazing mother could be left there.

Spirit and her 7 babies all got out of there, and her litter quickly found awesome forever homes. Spirit ended up testing Heartworm Positive, so she has had to undergo treatment for this fatal, yet easily preventable, disease. Her treatment is now complete and she is ready to find her perfect forever home.
She is a beautiful chocolate color and is about 2 to 3 years old. She would be perfectly suited to a semi-active home -- she is up for a walk on the beach, but is happy snuggling next to you on the couch. She is dog, cat, and kid friendly

Spirit was lucky enough to get a photoshoot
with Lisa of Little Pet Project. Isn't she
beautiful?
BLOGGER'S NOTE:  I recently transported Spirit from the vet in New Port Richey to her foster in St. Petersburg. She is a total sweetheart and just sat in the back seat of our car without a problem. Somebody adopt this wonderful girlie now!
